About this Entry: In 3 months, our small advancement team of seven fully migrated into a new customer relationship management system, CRM. With a new CRM came a multi-channel, extensive, and interactive training program for the team of seven. This transition and successful training program was created in partnership with the Corporate Partnerships department as we, Advancement, were to move into their already established database.
This new database training program made it possible for everyone on the team to be at the same database knowledge bases. In contrast, before, only one person on the team knew the database well enough, which resulted in the team relying on that one person to do everything for the department. That created a bottleneck for information and data that needed to get into the system in a timely manner. With this new database and database instruction, every advancement team member can log their own call notes, track their own prospects, and run their own reports; ultimately, they are now more efficient and proficient as ever.
