Title of Entry: Center for Equine Health Horse Report

About this Entry: The Horse Report is the outreach publication for the UC Davis Center for Equine Health, a unit of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The target readership is sporthorse enthusiasts, with an emphasis on owners, breeders, and our donors. The publication aims to inform horse owners, breeders, riders and trainers about advances in equine veterinary care that could benefit their horses’ health and performance. It also aims to highlight the innovative research and advanced clinical care available at UC Davis. We publish four issues of the Horse Report annually, one electronic issue and three issues that are distributed both electronically and in print. In the period from June 30, 2019 to August 20, 2020, we published our fall print and electronic issue on hoof health, our winter electronic “year in review” issue, our spring print and electronic issue on equine nutrition, and a special summer print and electronic issue focused on equine genetics.
