Title of Entry: The Impact of Personalized Stewardship
About this Entry: This entry is a highly personalized impact report designed for a UC Davis donor and her daughter. The report gives an overview of the impact of her endowments and decades long philanthropic giving to the university. The purpose of this stewardship piece is to provide a meaningful touchpoint to express gratitude for her years of partnership and dedication, specifically to the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden. Additionally, the report is intended to serve as the exemplification of our hope for a continued partnership with UC Davis and collaboration from campus partners, including the Arboretum and Plant Sciences.
The report is two pages in length. The first page, which utilizes a photo of the UC Davis Arboretum as its background, speaks to the question “Why Give to UC Davis?”: it contains a section on why “Your Philanthropy Matters at UC Davis!”, followed by a “snapshot of the ways UC Davis is a national and global leader” with 4 infographics accompanied by short textual descriptions. The second page features a graphically designed picture of a garden. The garden features a large tree “mosaic”, with the tree trunk, the foundation, representing the donor’s endowment(s) from which the branches of impact stem. The branches feature 7 large numbered leaves that contain the words of specific areas and programs that describe the impact their gift(s) have supported. The numbers on the leaves correspond to more detailed descriptions of each area/program which surround the tree on both sides.
